Frederick John Starkey (20 February 1911 – 27 January 2001) was a British amateur athlete notable for representing England in basketball and gymnastics in 1947. He also served as a model for a sculpture of Apollo by William Bloye at age 28, which is displayed in Coronation Gardens, Dudley. Born in Birmingham, Starkey later worked as a probation officer and passed away in Sherborne, Dorset, at the age of 89.
