Starting on clarinet at age 13, he was inspired by jazz greats Monty Sunshine and Acker Bilk. Before forming his own band, he played rock & roll with notable groups like Blue Diamonds. Currently, he focuses on writing music books and advising on musical instrument transactions, especially pianos.
