Freddy Van Gaever was a Belgian politician affiliated with the Vlaams Belang party. He served in the Flemish Parliament from 2004 to 2007 and was then coopted to the Belgian Senate until 2010. Before entering politics, he was a manager in road haulage and aviation, founding several airlines including VLM Airlines and VG Airlines. His career in aviation included managing Delta Air Transport and launching Frevag Airlines in 1984. Van Gaever was active in both the political and business realms until his passing in 2017.
