Friedmar Teßmer was a German officer, who served as a brigade general in the Bundeswehr. He was commander of Panzergrenadierbrigade 32 from 1990 to December 31, 1994, and later, until his retirement on March 31, 2001, served as deputy commander of the 7th Tank Division in Düsseldorf. After pensioning, he published a book in 2002 on military deployment. Teßmer was also an honorary knight in the Johanniterorden and involved in a Rotary Club and his church community. He left behind his wife Elke and two children.
