Fujinishiki Takemitsu, born Akira Watanabe, was a notable sumo wrestler from Kofu, Yamanashi, Japan. Active from 1937 to 2003, he reached the rank of komusubi ten times and won the top makuuchi division yūshō in 1964. Not just a competitor, he later became an elder and head coach of Takasago stable. His legacy includes seven special prizes and seven gold stars for defeating yokozuna. He retired from his coaching role in 2002 and passed away from liver disease.
