Fyffe William George Christie was a British figurative artist and mural painter, born on February 2, 1918, in Bushey, Hertfordshire. He served in the British Army as a bagpiper and stretcher bearer during World War II. After the war, Christie studied at the Glasgow School of Art from 1946 to 1951, where he began painting murals, notably 'Christ Feeding the People'. He later moved to London, where he continued to paint and taught at various schools until his death on March 6, 1979.
