Appointed as the first female Chief Justice on April 21, 2014, she made significant contributions to the judiciary. Prior to this, she served as a judge in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. She retired on April 13, 2017, due to age-related reasons, after which Justice Gita Mittal was appointed as her successor.
