Galo Edmundo Miño Jarrín was an Ecuadorian sports shooter born on February 6, 1953. He notably won a gold medal for Ecuador in the Air Pistol team event at the 1983 Pan American Games, marking the country's only medal at those games. Miño competed in the 50 meter pistol event at the 1984 Summer Olympics, finishing in 23rd place. He served as a police captain and tragically lost his life at the age of 33 during a confrontation with bank robbers in Quito on September 11, 1986.
