Ocampo contributed to national heritage via his role as director of the National Museum and as Technical Adviser on Heraldry for the Office of the President. His significant works encompass stained glass windows in churches and various heraldic designs, including the coat of arms of the Philippines and the insignia of the Order of the Golden Heart.
