Ganga Prasad Chaurasia is an Indian politician currently serving as the Governor of Sikkim and a former Governor of Meghalaya. He was a member of the Bihar Legislative Council and served as the leader of the opposition during the RJD government in Bihar. He was also the leader of the Bihar Legislative Council during the NDA regime. Active in the Janata Sangh ideology, he is a strong supporter of the Arya Samaj and has served as the head of the Bihar Arya Samaj representative board. In political circles, he is known as 'Ganga Babu'.
