Garnik Shahinyan was an Armenian freedom fighter and poet, born on March 12, 1962, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR. He was involved in the struggle for Armenian rights and is remembered for his contributions to the cause. Tragically, he passed away on May 3, 1994, in the Agdam region of Azerbaijan. His legacy continues to be honored posthumously, particularly through his recognition as an honorary member of the Union of Territorial Defense Volunteers since 1997.
