Karapet (Karo) Kahkecyan was an Armenian terrorist involved in the Nagorno-Karabakh War. Born on March 24, 1962, in Aleppo, he became the leader and founder of a volunteer military unit known as the Khachik (Crusaders), mainly composed of diaspora members. His active participation in military operations earned him fame and influence in a short period. He was killed on June 26, 1993, during the capture of Kelbajar by Azerbaijani forces.
