Garth St. Omer (January 16, 1931 – April 24, 2018) was a Lucian writer known for his literary contributions alongside Derek Walcott and Dunstan St. Omer. He studied French and Spanish at the University of the West Indies and later obtained a Ph.D. from Princeton University. Omer published four novels between 1964 and 1972, and he taught at the University of California, Santa Barbara, until retiring. His works include 'Syrop' and 'Room on the Hill', published initially by Faber and later reissued by Peepal Tree Press.
