Gary G. Koch is an American biostatistician, born on January 6, 1942, who is currently a professor of biostatistics and director of the Biometric Consulting Laboratory at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has been a faculty member since 1968. Koch was elected a fellow of the American Statistical Association in 1972 and received the Mortimer Spiegelman Award in 1974 from the American Public Health Association. In 1996, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by DeMontfort University in the UK.
