Raised in Nottinghamshire, he later moved to Redbourn, Hertfordshire. Terzza began his career in radio before transitioning into television continuity announcing, first with Central Independent Television in 1982, where he also hosted Children's ITV from 1987 to 1988, eventually joining Channel 4 in 1991.
