Gaston De Roeck (April 22, 1937 - January 4, 2005) was a Belgian investigator known for his relentless pursuit of the missing panel 'The Just Judges' from the Ghent Altarpiece by Jan and Hubert van Eyck. Initially a café owner and taxi driver, he gained notoriety for his theories about the panel's location, concluding it might be in the tomb of Viglius Aytta. Despite his extensive research and a website revealing details about the theft, no official investigations were conducted. He died believing that the panel no longer existed.
