Gastón Enrique Escala Aguirre, born December 22, 1955, in Santiago, is a Chilean engineer and businessman. He studied civil engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, graduating in 1979. Escala began his career at SalfaCorp, where he managed multiple branches and became the executive president after 12 years. He served as the first vice president of the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) from 2008 to 2010 and was elected president of the CChC in a non-competitive election, winning over 93% of the votes.
