Geeta Kashyap Vemuganti is an acclaimed Indian ocular pathologist, currently heading the Ophthalmic Pathology Service and Stem Cell Laboratory at the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute. As a dean and professor at the University of Hyderabad's School of Medical Sciences, she has significantly contributed to stem cell therapy, collaborating with V. S. Sangwan to develop protocols for vision restoration. Vemuganti is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and received the 2005 Chem Tech Foundation Award, along with the prestigious National Bioscience Award for Career Development in 2004.
