Geir Olav Flåan is a Norwegian journalist and editor born in 1968. He started his journalism career at Meråkerposten immediately after high school. He served as editor in chief for Malvik-Bladet from 1994 to 2002 and for Stjørdalens Blad from 2002 to 2010. He has also worked as a communications advisor and freelance journalist. In 2020, he joined Trønder-Avisa as a journalist and became the editor in chief of Meråkerposten in 2021, after its acquisition by Trønder-Avisa AS and Amedia.
