Gempar Soekarnoputra (born January 13, 1958) is an Indonesian politician and the son of Sukarno, Indonesia's first president. He claims to be the child of Sukarno's wife, Jetje Langelo, whom Sukarno married in Manado in 1957. His mother was a beauty queen and a top student in Sulawesi in 1953. He was born in RS Hermana Lembean, Minahasa, originally named Leonard Alexander Charles Christoffel, and he used the name Charles Christoffel during his childhood and adulthood.
