Gene Lancour, born Gene Louis Fisher on June 15, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American author specializing in science fiction and fantasy. He started his writing career in 1973 with the fantasy series about Dirsham the Godkiller. In 1980, he transitioned to science fiction with 'The Globes of Llarum,' featuring a mercenary aiding rebels against a powerful corporation. In 1982, writing as Jeanne Lancour, he published a historical trilogy titled 'Age of Chivalry.' In 2015, he released the five-part fantasy series 'Tales of the Waste.'
