Gene E. Snowden was an influential American politician from Indiana, active in the Republican Party. His political career spanned from 1964 to 1983, during which he served in both the Indiana House of Representatives and the Indiana State Senate, and was the Senate president pro tempore from 1979 to 1980. Additionally, he was a City Councilman in Huntington and held the positions of County Auditor and Mayor. His tenure ended with a reelection loss in 1995. He passed away on June 10, 2019.
