Eugene Thomas 'Gene' Waldorf was an American electrical engineer and politician born on February 25, 1936, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He served in the United States Army and later earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota. Waldorf worked as an electrical engineer for 3M Company. His political career spanned from 1977 to 1993, during which he was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives and the Minnesota Senate. In 2010, he ran for the United States House of Representatives as an Independent.
