Gennadij Alexandrovič Semenihin was a Russian Soviet writer and journalist, born on December 17, 1919, in the Don Republic. He served in the Great Patriotic War and was awarded the Order of the Red Star three times. Semenihin was also a recipient of the Order of the Badge of Honour and was recognized with a literary award from the Ministry of Defence of the USSR. He passed away on October 22, 1984, in Novocherkassk, Rostov Oblast, RSFSR, USSR.
