George Armstrong was an English actor known for his role as Alan Humphries in the BBC series Grange Hill, which he played from 1978 to 1982. His acting career began in 1977 with Just William. He also appeared in the spin-off series Tucker's Luck and had his last role in The Bill in 1989. After acting, he transitioned to a career as a technical theatre manager. Armstrong passed away on July 11, 2023, in London at the age of 60 after a long battle with leukaemia.
