His notable works include The Trophy Chase trilogy and the prequel Blaggard’s Moon. In 1986, he won an Emmy Award for writing the documentary 'A Hard Road to Glory,' alongside Arthur Ashe. Polivka received a nomination as a 'Visionary' finalist for the Christy Award in 2009. He currently resides near Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife and children.
