George David Chetwode (1914-1999) was an English cricketer and British Army officer. He graduated from Sandhurst into the Coldstream Guards in 1934, served in WWII, and held ranks up to major. He played first-class cricket in 1938 for the Europeans against the Parsees. Post-war, Chetwode retired in 1948 and lived in Gloucestershire, where he died. Married to Lady Willa Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, they had six children, including grandfather to Alexander Elphinstone, 19th Lord Elphinstone.
