George Garfield Hall (born March 5, 1925) is a mathematician known for significant contributions to quantum chemistry. He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and independently discovered the Routhan-Hall equations. Hall was awarded a PhD in 1950 and lectured at the University of Cambridge. He became a fellow of St John's College in 1953 and later lectured at Imperial College London. He became a professor at the University of Nottingham in 1962 and enjoyed an early retirement in 1982, later joining Kyoto University and returning to Nottingham in 1988. He is currently an Emeritus Professor.
