George Frederick Green (1908–1989) was a notable British trade union leader known for his influential role in the Socialist Vanguard Group during the 1940s. He served as deputy general secretary and later as general secretary of the Civil Service Clerical Association (CSCA), where he adeptly managed pay negotiations for civil servants. Green was elected to the General Council of the Trades Union Congress in 1960. Despite union rules requiring his retirement at 55, he argued for his continued leadership due to government policies but ultimately stepped down in 1963.
