George Muthundinne Phadagi (26 June 1952 – 13 May 2012) was a prominent member of the African National Congress (ANC) and a respected figure in South African politics. He served as the first mayor of Thohoyandou from 1994 to 1999 and was a Member of Parliament from 2002 to 2008. Additionally, he held the positions of MEC of Public Works and MEC of Safety Security and Liaison from 2010 to 2011. Near the end of his life, he acted as a political consultant to Premier of Limpopo, Cassel Mathale, until his death in 2012.
