George Spriggs was an influential Australian politician born on January 28, 1926, in Perth. He served as a Liberal Party member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly from 1977 to 1987, representing Darling Range. Before his political career, he worked as an orchardist and ran a general store and service station. Spriggs initially contested elections with the Country Party before joining the Liberal Party. He was also a member of the Kalamunda Shire Council from 1971 until 1977. He passed away on July 18, 2015, in Perth.
