George N. Stonbely (born December 7, 1945) is an American entrepreneur and civic leader, influential in advertising and advocacy primarily in New York's Times Square. He founded Spectacolor, Inc. in 1975, pioneering changeable message billboards, which transformed outdoor advertising. Beyond his business achievements, he has been a founding director of the Times Square Alliance and supports numerous charitable organizations. Notably, Stonbely dedicated a lighted snowflake, originally gifted by Douglas Leigh, to UNICEF, raising significant funds for the charity through its annual gala.
