George VanderBurg is a Canadian politician born on February 15, 1957. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta representing the electoral district of Whitecourt-Ste. Anne. A member of the Progressive Conservative Party, he won his third term in the 2008 Alberta general election, defeating Link Byfield. VanderBurg was appointed Minister of Seniors and Community Supports in 2011, succeeding Mary Anne Jablonski. He lost his seat in the 2015 election to NDP candidate Oneil Carlier.
