George Ellison Weeks was an American football defensive end born on December 16, 1918, who played in the NFL for the Brooklyn Tigers after being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1943. Weeks served in WWII as an Athletic Officer and later transitioned to coaching at both high school and college levels. He coached at Jacksonville State University, where he led the football team to a bowl victory and became the first men's golf head coach. He also had a long tenure as head baseball coach at the University of North Alabama.
