The Ven. George Youell was an Anglican priest and Archdeacon of Stoke-on-Trent from 1956 to 1970. He was educated at Hartley Victoria College, the University of Keele, and St Stephen's House, Oxford. He was ordained in 1933 and served in various roles, including Chaplain during WWII. After his service as Archdeacon, he continued as a Canon Residentiary at Ely Cathedral until his retirement in 1981. Youell was known for his contributions to the church and his leadership in various religious capacities throughout his career.
