Georgi Nikolov Cholakov is a Bulgarian operator born in Sofia on September 26, 1947. He graduated in radiophysics and electronics from Sofia State University in 1973, and later completed operator mastery in absentia at NATFA Krastyo Sarafov in 1983. Cholakov served as the deputy director of the National Film Center from 1991 to 1995 and was the founder and producer of Geopoli Ltd. from 1995 to 2014. Since March 2014, he has been the executive director of the National Film Center.
