Gerd Rexed is a Swedish journalist born on March 23, 1954, in Södertälje. She currently works with the news program ABC at SVT. She is the daughter of Bror Rexed and doctor Ursula Schalling. After high school, she worked as a library assistant and bus driver while studying journalism in Gothenburg, graduating in 1981. She began her career at P4 Sörmland and P4 Gävleborg before moving to P4 Stockholm and later became a long-time reporter and presenter at ABC, the local news program for Stockholm and Uppsala.
