Gerda Daumerlang was a German diver born in Nuremberg on May 2, 1920, and passed away on March 16, 2006. She competed in the 1930s, finishing fourth in the 3-meter springboard event at the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics. Daumerlang garnered a silver medal at the 1938 European Swimming Championships, finishing behind Betty Slade. In the early 1940s, she moved to Vienna to study medicine. After World War II, she established a medical practice in Tettenweis, Bavaria, where she worked from 1945 to 1982. In 1988, she published her autobiography.
