He was born on February 24, 1932, in Kardamias, Ilia, and served as the Metropolitan of Ilia and Olenia from 1981 until 2022. He passed away on February 21, 2023, in Gastouni, Ilia. His leadership and contributions to the Greek Orthodox Church were significant over his long tenure.
