Gerrit Gezinus Post was a Dutch politician from the PvdA, born on December 9, 1910, in Smilde. He began his career working at the municipal secretary's office in Steenwijk and later served in various administrative roles in multiple municipalities. In 1935, at the young age of 24, he became the municipal secretary of Zuid-Scharwoude. He played a significant role in the merging of municipalities, becoming the municipal secretary of the new municipality Langedijk. In 1949, he was appointed mayor of Landsmeer, serving until his retirement in 1976. He passed away on March 14, 2000.
