Gevorg Gharibjanyan was an Armenian historian born on May 5, 1920, in Alexandrapol, Armenia. He achieved significant academic milestones, obtaining a doctorate in historical sciences in 1956 and becoming a professor in 1957. Gharibjanyan was elected as a corresponding member of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences in 1965 and became an academician in 1971. He was recognized for his contributions to science, being named Honored Scientist of the Armenian SSR in 1968, and received the Stepán Shaumian Award in 1979. He was a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1974.
