Ghalib II al-Qu'aiti, born in 1948, was the seventh and last Sultan of the Qu'aiti state in Hadhramaut, serving briefly from June 10, 1967, to September 17, 1967, before his regime was overthrown in a coup by the National Front. Following his ousting, he moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he currently resides. He is also recognized as the honorary prince of the Yafa tribe in Hadhramaut.
