Gheorghe Chivar, born on February 14, 1946, in Câmpia Turzii, Romania, is a former boxer and boxing judge. He competed in the middleweight category (up to 75 kg) and won a bronze medal at the 1967 European Championships in Rome. Chivar was also the Romanian middleweight champion from 1965 to 1968 and earned a vice-championship title in 1972, alongside two bronze medals in 1971 and 1973. After retiring from competitive boxing, he served as a boxing referee until 2017.
