Born on December 7, 1915, in Samarkand, he held various significant positions, including the first vice-president of the Tajik SSR Academy of Sciences and Minister of Agriculture. Alijew was an academic and author, earning his Doctor of Agricultural Sciences degree in 1966 and multiple honorary titles throughout his career until his death on March 13, 2009, in Tajikistan.
