Gian Carlo Testoni was an Italian lyricist and journalist born in Bologna in 1912 and died in Milan in 1965. He is known for writing the first winning song at the San Remo Music Festival, 'Grazie dei fior,' performed by Nilla Pizzi. Testoni is recognized as one of the fathers of Italian jazz. He specialized in journalism and published many narrative books for young readers, two poetry collections, and several radio drama scripts. Additionally, he left behind an incomplete biography of G.F. Handel.
