Egidius ten Berge, born in Haarlem on May 1, 1948, is a Dutch sociologist, theologian, publicist, and peace activist. He completed his secondary education in 1966 and earned his doctorate in philosophy and empirical sociology in 1973. His career includes working at the Polemological Institute and with peace organizations such as IKV and Pax Christi Nederland. He also studied theology at the University of Tilburg, graduating in 2011. He is the son of the poet Willem ten Berge.
