Alfred Gilbert Goddard Thurlow was an Anglican dean and author active in the latter part of the 20th century. He received his education at Selwyn College, Cambridge and was ordained in 1935. Thurlow served as Curate and then as Precentor at Norwich Cathedral. He had various roles in Norfolk before becoming the Dean of Gloucester, a position he held from 1972 to 1982. After his service, he enjoyed his retirement in Chichester, contributing to the Anglican community throughout his life.
