Gilberto Valenzuela Macen, also known as 'El Sahuaripa' Valenzuela, was a renowned Mexican singer born on February 27, 1935, in Sahuaripa, Sonora. He gained fame for his baladas, ranchera music, and corridos. Over his career, he recorded more than 500 songs and approximately 35 albums. His hit song 'El Moro de Cumpas' alone sold over 2 million copies. Valenzuela passed away on April 2, 2021, in Mexicali, Baja California. He was one of eleven children of Alfonso Valenzuela and Adela Macen Amavizca.
