Virginia Frances, Lady Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, known as Ginny Fiennes, was an English explorer born on July 9, 1947. She made significant contributions to polar exploration, being the first woman awarded the Polar Medal and the first female member of the Antarctic Club due to her research on very low frequency radio propagation. Her work was recognized by the British Antarctic Survey and the University of Sheffield. She was married to adventurer Ranulph Fiennes.
