Girija Bhusan Patnaik (February 9, 1931 - January 3, 2016) was a notable literary figure and social worker from Odisha, awarded by the Odisha Sahitya Akademi. He was involved in the India Quit Movement, student movements, and the border movement. As the editor and founder of 'The Universe', he was known for promoting socio-cultural events in Cuttack and maintaining respect across political parties without any political ambition. He published around 30 books during his lifetime.
